"It would be nice to win Rookie of the Year, but I want to win quickly."

Jinhee Lim, who won the most wins on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour last year and is

playing on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour this year, said that she is playing with a goal of

winning rather than winning Rookie of the Year.

Lim Jin-hee returned to Korea for a short while to participate in the KPGA Tour McCall-Mona Yongpyong Open, held at

Birch Hill Golf Club (par 72) in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do for three days starting on the 28th.

Lim Jin-hee, who is competing in a domestic competition for the first time in seven months since winning the SK Shields

and SK Telecom Championship in November last year, said, "Honestly, I am a rookie, not a rookie. My priority is to win

quickly rather than win Rookie of the Year." She added, "It would be nice to continue the tradition of Korean Rookie of the

Year, but I want to focus on winning."

Lim Jin-hee is currently in second place in the LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year race, behind Gabriela Ruffles (Australia).

Lim Jin-hee said, "Ruffles has competed in 15 tournaments so far, and I have only competed in 10. I recently re-ranked my

qualifications, so I can now compete in the same number of tournaments," but added, "I try not to be conscious of the

Rookie of the Year race as much as possible."

Lim Jin-hee said, "I tend to mess up on the last day. I think I need to let go of my greed a bit," and added, "If I want to win

quickly and go a bit further to the pin and hit it a bit closer, I end up in a bad situation. I think I need to play smart."

Lim Jin-hee cited the large prize money as an advantage of the LPGA Tour.

“I played in 10 tournaments, missed the cut twice, and made it to the top 10 twice, and received $650,000 in prize money,”

said Lim Jin-hee, who introduced the prize money as “an unimaginable amount of money in Korea.”

However, Im Jin-hee said, "It costs that much in security. They also take a lot of taxes," and laughed, saying, "If we're

going to do it half-heartedly, Korea is 추천 better."

Lim Jin-hee pointed out that the American tournament course setting requires the use of a wider variety of clubs than the

Korean course, and said, "In Korea, for the short game, you just need to focus on practicing certain clubs, but in the US,

there are a lot of unexpected situations," adding, "Thanks to that, I think my short game skills have improved a bit."

Lim Jin-hee, who showed off her consistent performance by hitting a 4-under 68 in the first round that day, said, "I was

nervous because it's been a while. I had a hard time with the putting distance in the beginning, but fortunately, I caught up

quickly." She added, "The leader is at 9-under, so I think I'll have to play more aggressively tomorrow."
